Palia received its first major patch update in August 2023 following the release of the game's Closed and Open Beta for PC. As its developer, Singularity 6, plans to release more game updates in the subsequent months ahead of its PC and Nintendo Switch launches, this page will serve as an overview of all the changes, improvements, and new content they add to the game with every subsequent update and patch.

The developers previously stated that these updates to the game are planned to be released every two weeks, with specific details of every tweak and adjustment released via blog posts on the official Palia website. For now, read on for the latest look at Palia's most recent update, including all the new content, adjustments, and bug fixes addressed by the team.

24th January 2025 Update: v0.188 Update Maintenance Period & Patch Notes Release

Developer Singularity 6 announced on social media on 22nd January 2025 that servers will be taken offline for three hours on 23rd January 2025 starting at 7 am PT / 10 am ET / 2 pm UTC to roll out the v0.188 patch update for PC via the game's Launcher, Epic Games Store, Steam, and Nintendo Switch for which the patch notes are now available.

17th December 2024 Update: v0.187 Update Maintenance Period & Patch Notes Release

Developer Singularity 6 announced on social media on 16th December 2024 that servers will be taken offline for three hours on 17th December 2024 starting at 7 am PT / 10 am ET / 2 pm UTC to roll out the v0.187 patch update for PC via the game's Launcher, Epic Games Store, Steam, and Nintendo Switch for which the patch notes are now available.

Palia 0.188 Patch Notes: All New Content, Adjustments & Bug Fixes

The latest patch update has ushered in a brand new year full of prosperity, as developer Singularity 6 detailed in their official patch notes. The launch of this patch update is the first major content update for the cozy MMO in 2025, as it will address some additional bug fixes along with some new content.

For the v0.188 patch update, the New Beginnings update sees the return of the Maji Market's Luna New Year festivities, in which Palians can participate in various festival activities, including the Hot Pot card game, the elusive Chaapa Chase event, more rewards to claim through the seasonal Treasure Chests, completing Stamp Card missions and by making a Wish by placing a ribbon on the Wish Tree.

A brand new feature, which arrives later in the patch update, Zeki's Loyalty Club, provides Palians with a new way to acquire Palia Coins simply by logging into the game. This membership offering will be available via the Premium Store, and the developer will officially announce its release closer to the time.

Gameplay Feature – Zeki's Loyalty Club (Coming Soon):

  • Everyone’s favorite entrepreneurial, Grimalkin’s latest enterprise, offers membership to a loyalty club that rewards Palians with bonus Palia Coins… just for logging in!
  • Zeki’s Loyalty Club is a new way to purchase Palia Coins, allowing you to get up to 1,325 Palia Coins for the price of 425 Coins!
  • You can buy Zeki’s Loyalty Club directly from the Premium Store for the same price as our smallest Palia Coin bundle.
  • You can watch your active remaining days by referencing Zeki’s Loyalty Club "date tracker," which was added to both the Premium Store and the Inventory tab on the player menu.
  • The daily log-in reset is at 12 am PT / 3 am ET / 8 am UTC.
  • Players can expect Zeki’s Loyalty Club to launch later in the patch, for which a full guide is available on the site here!

Events – Luna New Year: Maji Market:

  • It’s time to gather and celebrate new beginnings with the return of Luna New Year to the Kilima Village Fairgrounds!
  • From Thursday, 23rd January 2025, to Thursday, 20th February 2025, the familiar Maji Market will transform to celebrate Luna New Year.
  • The in-game event is a time for reflection, joy, and community spirit, where the streets of the Kilima Village Fairgrounds are adorned with vibrant lanterns and the sights and sounds of a bustling night market celebrating prosperity.
  • Luna New Year patrons will remember the thrill of collecting Lucky Envelopes while enjoying the booms and bright lights from the evening fireworks show. All of these attractions are returning for Luna New Year, including the Hot Pot card game, Chapaa Chase, Zeki’s Prize Wheel, new Stamp Cards to complete, more Treasure Chests to be found, and the return of the Wish Tree.
  • You'll earn Lucky Envelopes to trade for exclusive vendor rewards as you play minigames, make wishes, and shop the market.
  • Many decor items, plushes, food dishes, and recipes return to the market, but players can expect some new additions listed below:

  • It's important to note that the Year of the Naga poster reward is time-limited to this year’s Luna New Year celebration.
    • Last year’s poster will not be available for the 2025 celebration. 
  • The Luna New Year celebration is a seasonal Maji Market event, so when the sun sets, head over to Kilima Village Fairgrounds at 6:00 pm Palian Time and grab all the exclusive rewards before the celebration ends on 20th February 2025.
    • The recurring traditional Maji Market will return in March.

Housing & Decor – New Wedding Decor Items:

  • Seasonal romance is no longer limited to made-for-TV movies! You can now say “I do” to a new (tintable!) decor set you can fully commit to in Palia!
  • You can recite your nuptials however you’d like using the Wedding Decor Set listed below, which each recipe can be purchased for 300 Gold:

Gameplay – Potato Pod Log-in Rewards:

  • The next batch of Potato Pod log-in rewards has arrived!
  • As always, the only way to receive a new Potato Pod is to log in during the specified timeframe.
  • You’ll need to log in at least once between 24th January 2025 and 4th February 2025 at 10 am PT / 1 pm ET / 6 pm UTC and then again between 5th February and 17th February 2025 at 10 am PT / 1 pm ET / 6 pm UTC.
    • You’ll receive one Potato Pod for each log-in reward period for an opportunity to earn a total of two Potato Pods for the duration of the New Beginnings update.

Adjustments & Optimizations:

Active Buffs Clarity:

  • Players can now view active buffs from the Inventory tab on the player menu. Hovering over the active buff will display a tooltip with the buff name and description.

Building Blocks Crate Snapping:

  • Improved the usability of Building Blocks crates by adding new snap points on all sides of the object.

Home Tour Item Inspection:

  • Ever wonder what someone used to make that awesome water feature while on Home Tours.
    • You can now press “G” on PC or “X” on Nintendo Switch to display the names of decor items.

Quest HUD:

  • Added new visual stylizations to help players better identify and delineate Main Story Quests, Standard Quests, and Event Quests on both the HUD and Quest Log.

Bug Fixes:

Gameplay:

  • Fixed an issue where the Winterlights Snowballs would produce an overly bright flash upon player collisions.
  • Fixed an issue causing Jel’s shop to appear displaced.
  • Added missing VFX to the Night Sky Temple cinematic.
  • Resolved a collision error that prompted player interaction inputs through walls.
  • Fixed an issue where mined ore floated unexpectedly.
  • Resolved an issue with a non-collidable cliff behind Hodari’s house that unintentionally trapped players.
  • Fixed pricing inconsistencies with some in-game items.
  • Fixed a collision issue in Bahari Bay, causing players to fall through the ground.
  • Resolved an issue where pressing ESC during a cinematic sequence opened the menu behind the cinematic sequence.
  • Fixed instances where tooltips fonts appear smaller than usual.
  • Fixed issues with incorrect timing displays while playing Pop-A-Chapaa.
  • Resolved an issue that prevented players from completing the Cat’s Outta The Bag quest.
  • Resolved instances of missing Villagers from the Kilima Village Fairgrounds.

Housing & Decor:

  • Fixed an issue where an invisible wall could trap players in the Housing Plot.
  • Fixed an issue where the Winterlights Coat Rack was labeled the Makeshift Coat Rack.
  • Added the ability to ‘sit’ on the Homestead Small Bench.

Premium Cosmetics:

  • Fixed an issue causing Premium Store Emote icons to stretch.
  • Adjusted nighttime interior lighting for better visibility in the Aurora Peaks Landscape.

Social:

  • Resolved alignment issues on the secondary Inventory tab.
